From David Moses Bridges: Tall birch bark box with lid, cylindrical, etched. Body is single piece construction of 59.5 cm x 24.5 cm with 10 cm overlap, lashed with an offset zigzag stitch. Bottom is double layered, lashed with a diagonal stitch. Top rim support is birchbark topped by rattan (scarphed) and fastened with four lashings of three strands. The cover rim is single piece, 92.4 x 4.3 cm, fastened with an X stitch. Top is double layered, fastened with diagonal stitch. Bottom zig of 6th zigzag of side lashing is misplaced. According to David Moses Bridges: Double curve motif on sides and top is my own creation based on traditional curves and employing known curves within.
